Innsbruck-Land District, Administrative district in Tyrol, Austria.
Innsbruck-Land District covers 1,990 square kilometers of Alpine terrain, including sections of the Inn valley and multiple mountain ranges such as Stubai and Tux Alps.
Established in 1868 during the Habsburg monarchy reforms, the district emerged as part of a new administrative system that transformed regional governance across the empire.
The district integrates 63 municipalities, each maintaining distinct Tyrolean traditions through year-round festivals, traditional architecture, and mountain community practices.
The district headquarters manages administrative tasks including marriage licenses, driver's permits, and public health services for a population of 181,698 residents.
Despite serving as the administrative center for Innsbruck-Land District, the city of Innsbruck itself remains outside the district's official boundaries.
