Goaldi Mosque, 15th-century mosque in Narayanganj, Bangladesh.
The single-domed mosque features three arched openings on its east facade and decorative corner towers rising from the ground to the parapet level.
Built in 1519 by Mulla Hizabar Akbar Khan during the Bengal Sultanate period, the mosque served as a religious center in the medieval capital of Sonargaon.
The mosque combines Islamic architectural elements with local Bengali influences, including carved lotus motifs and black basalt mihrabs on the qibla wall.
Visitors can reach the mosque by taking a 15-minute walk through farmland from Painam Nagar, following local directions to Goaldi Masjid.
The central mihrab contains intricate stone carvings made from black basalt, a material choice that distinguishes it from other mosques of the period.
