Baliadi Zamindar Bari

Baliadi Zamindar Bari is a historic manor house in Kaliakair featuring traditional Bengali architectural styles and multiple residential buildings spread across an extensive estate. The complex displays the classical design patterns typical of the Zamindari period with its characteristic structures.

The estate was established in 1612 by Emperor Jahangir, who appointed Saad Uddin Siddiqui as its first administrator. The family line continued to control the property through many generations of leadership.

The Siddiqui family, descendants of Khalifa Abu Bakar Siddiqui from Turkey, maintained the estate's traditions through 37 generations of leadership.

The estate can be reached by bus from Dhaka traveling toward Tangail, with local transportation from Kaliakair needed to arrive at the site. Exploring the grounds takes time to view the various buildings and areas spread across the property.

The property has been home over time to a family with notable connections to national government roles. During its existence, it played a role extending beyond the local level into regional affairs.
