Playa de San Martín, Sandy beach in Celorio, Spain
The 750-meter-long beach features white sand, rocky outcrops, and two characteristic islets emerging from the waters of the Cantabrian Sea.
The remains of a Romanesque chapel dedicated to San Martín stand near the beach, marking its religious significance in medieval times.
The beach lies along the northern coastal route of the Camino de Santiago, where pilgrims have walked for centuries toward Santiago de Compostela.
The beach lacks facilities and rescue services operate daily from June 15 to September 8, between 11:30 AM and 7:00 PM.
During low tide, San Martín beach connects with Portiello beach, while at high tide certain sandy areas disappear completely under water.
