The park extends over 150,000 square meters along the right bank of the Ebro River, featuring tree-lined paths, gardens, and recreational areas.
Before its transformation in 1993, the area housed the Valbuena convent and a thermal power plant, with a small canal known as Rio Chiquito.
Four decorative mills at the stone bridge entrance display the colors of La Rioja flag, representing the regional identity of the park.
Multiple access points connect the park to the city center, with dedicated cycling lanes and exercise stations distributed throughout the grounds.
The preserved yellow brick chimney from the former power station stands as an industrial monument within the modern green space.
