Parque del Ebro, Logroño

Parque del Ebro spreads along the right bank of the Ebro River, offering tree-lined paths, gardens, and spaces for recreation and walking. The layout is open and flat, with seating areas and green spaces that run from the water's edge to the surrounding streets.

The area underwent transformation in 1993, replacing the Valbuena convent and a thermal power plant that previously occupied the land. Before this change, a small canal called Rio Chiquito ran through the location.

The four decorative mills at the stone bridge entrance display the regional flag colors and represent local connection to the river. They serve as a visual symbol of how the community sees itself and its relationship with the Ebro.

The park connects to downtown through multiple entry points and features dedicated cycling lanes throughout. Exercise stations are positioned across the grounds to support different activities.

The preserved yellow brick chimney from the former power station stands as an industrial monument within the green spaces. This unexpected relic connects the industrial past of the location with its current appearance.
