Located at the southern slopes of Svilaja mountain, Zelovo spreads across 11 square kilometers at an elevation of 885 meters above sea level.
The settlement's traditional craftsmanship flourished during the first half of the 18th century when families like Delaš, Domazet, and Jukić established pipe-making workshops.
Saint Vitus Church stands as the central religious structure in Zelovo, where residents gather annually on June 15 to celebrate their patron saint's day.
The settlement maintains a population of 122 residents as recorded in 2021, with a postal code of 21233 and Hrvace serving as its designated post town.
Zelovo remains the only settlement in Croatia that produces traditional clay tobacco pipes, alongside wooden toys, furniture, and musical instruments like flutes.
