Worli, Coastal neighborhood in Mumbai, India

Worli is a coastal neighborhood in Mumbai that stretches along the Arabian Sea, with modern residential towers, office buildings, and a waterfront promenade forming its core. The area combines contemporary architecture with direct access to the water, creating a mixed-use district in the heart of the city.

The neighborhood began as a fishing village on one of Mumbai's original seven islands. During the 1800s, it was connected to the mainland through land reclamation and eventually transformed into a modern commercial and residential center.

The name Worli comes from an old village that once stood here before the modern towers took over. Residents and visitors use the waterfront area for evening walks and casual meetings, transforming the seafront into a place where people gather naturally.

The neighborhood is easily reached through the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, a large bridge crossing the water that connects it to other parts of the city. The waterfront area features wide pedestrian paths and is comfortable to walk through, especially during the cooler hours of the day.

Many of the residential towers here offer apartments with views of both the Arabian Sea and Mumbai's skyline from a single vantage point. This dual view is unusual in the urban area and makes Worli a sought-after location for homes with water views.
