Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat

The B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat operates from an 858,000-square-foot complex featuring multiple departments and administrative offices for state governance.

Construction of the secretariat began in June 2019 after demolishing the former Nizam-period structure, leading to its completion and inauguration in May 2023.

The building incorporates Indo-Saracenic architectural elements with prominent domes and features a 125-foot statue of social reformer B.R. Ambedkar beside the main structure.

The facility contains 635 rooms across multiple floors, housing offices for the Chief Minister, various ministers, and government departments with extensive parking facilities.

The building foundation was engineered to last 150 years, with red sandstone cladding on the exterior podium and Beige Dholpur sandstone adorning the central tower.
