Balkampet Yellamma temple

Balkampet Yellamma Temple is a shrine displaying South Indian architecture with intricately carved statues throughout its interior. The main sanctuary sits several meters below ground level, creating a distinctive descent for visitors.

The temple's story begins in the 15th century when workers uncovered a stone statue of a goddess during excavation for a well. This chance discovery led to establishing this sacred place at that location.
