Raj Bhavan is the official residence and office of the Governor of Telangana, located in the Somajiguda area of Hyderabad, India. The compound combines administrative offices and private living quarters set within grounds that border the area near Hussain Sagar lake.
The building was constructed in the 1930s during the rule of the Nizam of Hyderabad, when the city was expanding its administrative infrastructure. After Indian independence, the new administration took over the compound and turned it into the Governor's official seat.
The Durbar Hall inside the building is used for official state ceremonies of Telangana. During such events, the space follows a formal protocol that reflects the region's governing traditions, which visitors may observe from designated areas.
