Sayedani Maa Tomb

Sayedani Maa Tomb is a marble structure in Hyderabad featuring fine lattice screens, plaster decorations, and an onion-shaped dome. It blends architectural elements from the Qutb Shahi and Mughal periods into a single composition.

A Nawab commissioned this tomb in 1883 to honor his mother, a revered figure in the family. The structure has remained a place of remembrance and was restored in recent times to preserve its condition.

The name honors a revered woman whose memory the family has preserved over generations. Visitors can see how traditional values are reflected in the way the space is arranged and used.

The tomb sits near Tank Bund along the Hussain Sagar lake shore and is easily accessible to visitors. The site was recently restored and maintained in good condition for touring.

The tomb houses multiple burial sites in different locations, including an underground chamber and a separate area for family members. This arrangement shows how the family has used the space over time.
