Super Manège, Steel roller coaster at La Ronde, Montreal, Canada.
Super Manège was a steel roller coaster at La Ronde amusement park with orange tracks and dark blue support structures. The ride reached speeds up to 64 kilometers per hour and accommodated 24 passengers per train.
The coaster was manufactured by Vekoma and opened in 1981 under the original name Corkscrew before being renamed later. It ran continuously until permanently closing in August 2019.
The French name Super Manège reflected Montreal's bilingual culture and showed how both anglophone and francophone visitors shared the amusement park together.
Visitors needed to meet a minimum height of 121.9 centimeters to ride the coaster. Visiting during quieter times of day helped reduce wait times considerably.
The coaster was known for its two corkscrew inversions that created an exciting element within the otherwise gentler pace of the ride. These loops made it a favorite among visitors seeking inverted rotations.
