鄂州观音阁, Buddhist pavilion on Long River in Ezhou, China
The Guanyin Pavilion stands 14 meters tall with a length of 24 meters and width of 10 meters, featuring stone foundation and blue brick walls.
The original temple on Dragon Coil Rock dates back to the Song Dynasty, but the current structure was established in 1345 during the Yuan Dynasty.
The pavilion combines architectural elements from three Chinese traditions: Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism, represented in its three main halls.
Visitors can reach the pavilion by taking an intercity train from Wuhan to Ezhou Station, followed by a local bus to the Yangtze River area.
The structure incorporates curved stone walls at its base to reduce water impact during floods, demonstrating ancient Chinese hydraulic engineering principles.
