Long Live the Victory of Mao Zedong Thought

The epoxy resin monument rises 18 meters high, featuring Chairman Mao in a trench coat with an extended arm and determined expression.

The statue, unveiled on October 1, 1970, marks the 21st anniversary of the People's Republic of China and remains one of few Cultural Revolution monuments.

The base displays 58 statues of workers, peasants, and soldiers divided into eight sections representing different periods of Chinese communist development.

Visitors can locate the monument at coordinates 41.7968° N and 123.41° E, where it stands as a central landmark in Shenyang's urban landscape.

Students from the Art Academy spent two years designing this monument under the supervision of local workers and peasants committee.
