Liaoning Provincial Museum, Archaeological museum in Hunnan District, Shenyang, China
The Liaoning Provincial Museum spans 83,200 square meters across five functional zones including exhibition areas, cultural relic warehouses, and preservation work spaces.
The museum opened its doors on July 7, 1949, as the Northeast Museum under the Northeast People's Government before receiving its current name in 1959.
The museum contains 22 galleries showcasing 120,000 items across 17 categories, including ancient Chinese calligraphy, painting, ceramics, and silk embroidery collections.
Located at 157 Third Zhihui Street, the museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday through Sunday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM without admission fees.
The institution houses the earliest existing copy of the fourth-century painting 'Nymphs of the Luo River' among its preserved artworks.
