The Liaoning Broadcast and TV Tower is a transmission structure in Shenyang that rises 305.5 meters into the sky. The building contains observation decks and fast elevators that carry visitors to different levels for viewing.

Construction began in August 1984, funded by the Liaoning Broadcasting Bureau, designed by the former Ministry of Radio, Film and Television's design institute and built by China State Construction Engineering. The tower opened in September 1989 at a cost of 530 million yuan. It was the first building in China to exceed 300 metres and was then Asia's tallest reinforced-concrete tower. A planned replacement in Hunnan was shelved in 2011, and a full renovation for the 12th National Games closed it from October 2012 to January 2015.

The tower's rotating restaurant serves traditional Chinese food while guests look out over the city below. Dining here combines the experience of eating and observing the urban landscape from above.

Visitors can use the elevators to reach the observation areas quickly, with both indoor and outdoor viewing sections available. It helps to allow time to explore different levels and choose your viewing spots based on the weather conditions.

The tower's six-storey pod between 187 and 215.3 metres has a maximum diameter of 43.9 metres and is clad in aluminium-alloy and glass curtain walls. Its 1,388 steps host regular stair-climbing events. Completed in 1989, it was China's first building to pass 300 metres.
