Tiergarten Worms

Tiergarten Worms is a wildlife park and zoo spread across 8.5 hectares (21 acres) with approximately 640 animals from around 100 different species. The grounds include enclosures for European animals as well as areas featuring exotic species from other continents.

The park was founded in 1972 and has developed into an important destination for nature observation and environmental education in the region. Its creation reflects the growing interest in zoos as places of learning and wildlife conservation.

The park allows visitors to watch animals up close and learn about their different habitats through direct observation. The enclosures are designed so you can see how the animals behave in their daily routines.

The park is easy to reach and offers plenty of walkways for visitors of different mobility levels, with rest areas scattered across the grounds. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and visit during nice weather, as most animals are active during daytime hours.

The grounds offer feeding demonstrations and coach rides through which visitors can experience the animals from different perspectives. These activities create more direct moments with the residents and make the visit more personal.
