Mortuary Temple of Thutmosis III, Mortuary temple from New Kingdom period in Deir el-Bahari, Egypt.
The temple features a grand hall containing 88 stone columns decorated with papyrus flower capitals, connected to an array of ceremonial chambers and courtyards.
The construction started around 1435 BC during the final years of Thutmosis III's reign and was completed by his successor Amenhotep II after his death.
The temple served as a site for the Beautiful Valley Festival, where priests carried statues of Amun-Ra through ceremonial processions and performed religious rituals.
Archaeological excavations conducted since 2008 by Spanish-Egyptian teams have revealed administrative buildings, workshops, and a residence of a Ramesside priest named Khonsu.
The temple contains fragments of reliefs, stelae, decorated lintels, foundation deposits, ostraca, graffiti, and papyrus remnants that document ancient Egyptian life.
