KV19, Royal tomb in Valley of the Kings, Egypt

The tomb extends 38.68 meters into limestone rock, featuring corridors that turn clockwise through five sequential chambers before reaching the burial area.

Prince Ramesses Sethherkhepshef commissioned KV19 during the Twentieth Dynasty, but later Ramesses IX's son Prince Mentuherkhepshef received the burial space.

The walls display painted scenes from the Book of the Dead along with depictions of Mentuherkhepshef presenting offerings to Egyptian deities.

Visitors need to arrange a guide with proper permits to access the tomb, which requires navigating steep stairs and narrow passageways.

Black hieroglyphs and protective cobra symbols decorate the entrance jambs, marking the transition between the living world and the afterlife.
