Tomb of Tutankhamun, Ancient royal tomb in Valley of the Kings, Egypt.
The burial chamber contains four gilded wooden shrines, three nested coffins, and a solid gold sarcophagus protecting the mummified remains of Tutankhamun.
British archaeologist Howard Carter discovered the intact tomb KV62 in November 1922, marking one of the most significant archaeological findings of Egyptian antiquity.
The tomb's artifacts reveal Egyptian beliefs about afterlife, featuring protective deities, spells from the Book of the Dead, and essential items for the king's journey.
Located on the west bank of Luxor, the tomb extends 30 meters into limestone rock with steep stairs leading to the burial chamber.
The burial site contained over 5,000 artifacts including golden chariots, thrones, jewelry, and food provisions preserved for three millennia.
