Saint-Louis Church, Grenoble, Roman Catholic church in Grenoble, France

Saint-Louis Church is a Roman Catholic church in Grenoble with a Latin cross floor plan, central dome, and classical style from the 17th century. Inside, rounded arches frame the space, and artworks including a painting from 1680 and a white marble Virgin statue add to its character.

A bishop commissioned the church during the 1690s to serve growing neighborhoods in Grenoble. Construction took about ten years to complete and reflected the city's expansion during that period.

The church shapes the neighborhood with its classical appearance and draws visitors seeking quiet moments inside. The artworks within tell stories of faith through paintings and sculptures that have watched over worshippers for centuries.

The church sits in the city center and is easy to reach by public transport, especially the tramway lines. Visitors should check opening times beforehand since services happen at specific times throughout the day.

The front facade features an unusual combination of a clock and colored glass within a large circular opening above the entrance. This rare detail makes the exterior immediately recognizable and sets it apart from other churches in the region.
