House of Doctor Gagnon, House museum in central Grenoble, France.

The House of Doctor Gagnon occupies two buildings from the 16th and 17th centuries at the intersection of Place Grenette and Grande Rue in Grenoble.

The residence belonged to Doctor Henri Gagnon, who acquired this aristocratic mansion during the French Revolution and raised his grandson, the writer Stendhal, after 1790.

The museum displays a collection of portraits, documents, and manuscripts that illustrate the childhood environment of Stendhal, who lived there until 1796.

The museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Friday between 2 PM and 6 PM, and on Saturdays from 10 AM to noon and 2 PM to 6 PM.

The residence features an Italian-style salon and a terrace with a pergola that overlooks the Jardin de Ville with views toward the Sassenage mountains.
