Fő tér

Fő tér is a rectangular public square in Óbuda bordered by 18th-century buildings that frame the open space. The central area remains clear for people to walk and spend time without obstacles.

The square was the center of the town of Óbuda before it merged with Buda and Pest in 1873 to form modern Budapest. The surviving buildings show how this area developed as an urban settlement.
