Deo Fort

Deo Fort is a stone fortress that rises roughly 150 feet above the surrounding terrain, with defensive walls oriented toward the north. The structure connects directly to adjacent religious buildings, forming a unified architectural complex.

The Sisodia Rajputs from Mewar built this fort during the medieval period to secure control of the region. The structure remained under their rule until 1947, when the last ruling queen departed.

The site sits adjacent to the Deo Sun Temple, creating a religious and military complex that shows how faith and defense were intertwined in this region. The proximity of both structures reveals how closely these functions were connected in local life.
