Tomb of Hasan Shah Suri, 16th-century tomb in Sasaram, India.
The octagonal mausoleum stands on a square platform above an artificial lake, featuring three stories crowned by a large central dome.
Commissioned by Sher Shah Suri around 1542 for his father Hasan Shah, the tomb reached completion in 1545 under Islam Shah Suri's supervision.
The structure incorporates Indo-Islamic architectural elements, with arched windows, latticed screens, and decorative carvings throughout the monument.
Visitors can reach the tomb through a causeway that connects the mainland to the structure, with guided tours available during daylight hours.
Each facade of the tomb presents three arched openings, while ornamental chhatris grace the corners of the upper levels.
