Port of Osaka, International strategic port in Osaka, Japan

The Port of Osaka connects 600 ports across 140 countries, processing 85 million tons of cargo annually through its extensive maritime network.

The port transformed from its ancient name Naniwazu into a major international trade point after Japan opened its borders to foreign commerce in 1868.

The port district includes three distinct areas: Maishima spanning 220 hectares, Yumeshima covering 390 hectares, and Sakishima extending across 1,045 hectares.

Travelers reach the port via Osaka Metro Chuo-line Osakako-Station or Osaka City Bus Tempozan, with Kansai International Airport located 30 minutes away.

The Kinki Region surrounding the port maintains a production and consumer base of 21 million people, forming the economic foundation of Japan.
