Isuzugawa Station, Railway station in Ise, Japan
Isuzugawa Station is a railway station in Ise with two island platforms and four tracks situated on an elevated embankment. Underground passageways connect the platform level to the main station building above.
The station opened in 1969 as part of the Kintetsu Railway's expansion into Mie Prefecture. This development brought improved rail connections to the area around the Ise shrine.
The station's name comes from the sacred Isuzu River, which flows near the Ise Grand Shrine and holds spiritual importance in the area. This connection to local religious tradition shapes how people understand the place.
The station has underground access points that make navigation easy, especially during bad weather or heat. The platforms are clearly marked to show which trains depart from each location.
The station uses inner tracks for regular service trains and outer tracks for express and limited express trains. This design allows different train speeds to operate from the same location without interference.
