Sengokuhara is a town district in the northern section of the Hakone caldera within Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. The area spans different elevations with lakes, forests, and mineral springs scattered throughout.
The village of Sengokuhara was established in 1889 and merged with Yumoto town and two other villages in 1956. This consolidation shaped the present-day structure of the Hakone region.

You can reach this area via National Routes 1 and 138 from Odawara, or by regular bus services to Hakone Yumoto Station. The region is well-connected and public transit links the various museums and attractions.
