The mountain earned recognition through its inclusion in three notable collections: the 300 Famous Japanese Mountains, 100 Famous Gunma Mountains, and 100 Famous Mountains in Shinshū.
The mountain slopes contain natural hot springs and traditional Japanese inns, reflecting the regional customs of thermal bathing and mountain hospitality.
Visitors can reach the summit using the Shibu Pass Romance Lift, with adult tickets priced at 1,500 yen and children's tickets at 1,260 yen.
The mountain features a moving walkway called the sky-lator, which transports visitors to observation points offering views of the Northern Alps and Mount Fuji.
