Shonan Beach Park

Shonan Beach Park extends for 2 kilometers along the coast from Kugenuma Beach to Katase Beach, featuring walking paths and green spaces.

The park, established in 1957, encompasses 17.4 hectares of land and includes a memorial dedicated to Nie Er, composer of China's national anthem.

The park serves as a central location for beach sports activities, with dedicated areas for beach volleyball tournaments and surfing throughout the year.

Facilities include the Surf Village, changing rooms, hot showers, cafes, and multiple parking areas accessible within a 10-minute walk from Kugenuma Kaigan Station.

The park contains Japan's first tsunami evacuation tower, capable of sheltering 100 people during emergencies, while offering views of Mount Fuji on clear days.
