Kōroen Station, railway station in Nishinomiya, Hyogo prefecture, Japan
Kōroen Station is a railway stop in Nishinomiya with two platforms on the second floor and a ticket office below, connected by a single gate. Trains depart in different directions: toward Koshien and Osaka on one side, and toward Kobe and Himeji on the other.
The station opened on April 12, 1905, and has been part of the local rail system for more than a century. After a major earthquake in 1995, it was damaged but restored and reopened in June of that year.
The station's name reflects the traditional roots of the area and its long connection to local life. Residents appreciate how the old-style architecture stands out from newer buildings in the neighborhood.
The station has a ticket machine and a small ticket office for easy transactions. There are sheltered areas on the platforms to stay dry during rain, and clear signage helps passengers navigate the space.
The station features a design inspired by Japan's Meiji period from over a century ago. The platforms offer views of the nearby Shukugawa River, creating a calm moment while waiting for a train.
