Sumitomo Fudosan Roppongi Grand Tower, Office skyscraper in Minato-ku, Japan
Sumitomo Fudosan Roppongi Grand Tower is a tall office building in Minato with 43 floors above ground and 5 basement levels that stretches 231 meters into the sky. The complex also includes a separate residential tower of 27 stories, shops, and dining options on its lower levels.
The building opened in September 2016 as part of a large redevelopment project that cleared the sites of the former Roppongi Prince Hotel and IBM Japan Head Office Building. This transformation reshaped the character of the Roppongi district.
The building houses TV Tokyo Holdings Corporation and includes public spaces on its lower floors, making it a center for media and business.
The complex connects directly to Roppongi-itchōme Station on the Tokyo Metro Namboku Line through the building's first floor. Multiple entrances and exits lead to different parts of the surrounding neighborhood.
The complex features rotating art exhibitions displayed freely in public spaces on its lower floors, adding a cultural layer beyond its commercial function. This element makes the site more than just a workplace for those who pass through.
