曲金北遺跡, Archaeological site in Shizuoka, Japan
The excavation area extends across 60,000 square meters, containing remains of ancient roads, waterways, and agricultural structures from multiple historical periods.
Research conducted between April 1994 and May 1995 uncovered rice paddy structures from the late Yayoi period and transportation routes from the Heian period.
The site contains wooden implements, including large round-bottomed rice paddles and construction materials that demonstrate early Japanese agricultural practices and building techniques.
The Shizuoka Prefectural Archaeological Research Institute maintains detailed documentation of the site findings through published reports and continued research initiatives.
Discoveries at the site include evidence of ancient water management systems and agricultural innovations that shaped the development of early Japanese civilization.
