Ansan Reed Marsh Park

The park contains extensive reed marshes with artificial islands and underwater plants across more than one million square meters of protected wetland territory.

Created in 2002 from the former Gunja Bay area, this park transformed an environmentally compromised water body into South Korea's first constructed wetland system.

The two-story ecology center offers educational programs about wetland preservation while maintaining observation points for studying local wildlife patterns.

Visitors can explore 1.7 kilometers of designated trails through the marshlands, with facilities designed for wildlife observation and nature photography.

A 2014 survey documented 2,929 birds representing 111 different species within the park boundaries, demonstrating successful ecosystem restoration.
