Fakhreddine Palace

The palace is a stone building with arches and ornately decorated exterior surfaces located in a historic hillside village. Inside, multiple rooms and courtyards are arranged around the central structure of the building.

A local ruler had this palace built in the early 17th century when the village served as a regional center. The building shows influences from connections to Italian territories of that time.

The wax museum inside displays scenes from important moments in Lebanese history that visitors encounter as they move through the rooms. The exhibits show how people lived in different periods and what shaped the region.

The building is visible from outside and visitors can explore the architecture and the surrounding village on foot. The courtyard and entrances are straightforward to reach and the entire area is easily walkable.

The building incorporates design elements influenced by Italian building styles and reflects the trade routes and diplomatic relationships of that era. This blend of eastern and western forms is visible in the arches and details.
