Marie baz museum

The Marie Baz Museum displays over 40 wax figures across multiple levels within a historic palace in Deir El Qamar. The collection features leaders, warriors, and cultural figures spanning different periods of Lebanese history.

The museum was created to preserve the country's history through carefully crafted figures made in France. This project documents moments and people who were pivotal in Lebanon's development.

The figures depict key personalities who shaped Lebanon's path, allowing visitors to stand face to face with representations of people from different periods. Seeing them this way creates a personal connection to the stories behind the names.

The museum sits in the mountain village of Deir El Qamar and is easy to reach on foot once you arrive there. The space is compact, so visitors can explore the entire collection without extensive walking.

All the figures were handcrafted by artisans in France, giving this collection a rare level of craftsmanship quality. This international partnership sets it apart from other history museums in the region.
