Solidarność Monument in Kraków

The Solidarność Monument in Kraków is a steel V-shaped structure standing on a pedestal at the Central Square of Nowa Huta. The construction symbolizes a victory sign and is complemented by several tablets at its base that mark historical events.

The memorial was initially erected in 1999 at the Sendzimira Steelworks and relocated to its current location in 2005. The move made the remembrance of labor movements more visible throughout the district.

The monument displays eleven plaques marking key moments in the labor history of Nowa Huta. These tablets document workers' strikes and social changes that shaped the district's identity.
