Solidarność Monument in Kraków, Solidarity memorial at Central Square in Nowa Huta, Poland
The monument features a steel V-shaped structure standing on a pedestal, representing the victory sign near the Central Square of Nowa Huta district.
The memorial was initially erected in 1999 at the Sendzimira Steelworks and later moved to its current location in 2005 to commemorate labor movements.
Eleven plaques on the monument display significant dates in Nowa Huta's history, starting from 1960, including references to workers' strikes and social changes.
The Municipal Greenery Board manages the monument, which stands at coordinates 50.0712136 latitude and 20.0370677 longitude in District XVIII of Kraków.
At the base of the monument, an eagle with a crown and four tablets commemorate events like the defense of the Nowa Huta cross.
