Al-Aqsa Library, Islamic library in Old City, Jerusalem.
The library contains over 20,000 volumes, including rare manuscripts, monographs, and periodicals focusing on Islamic studies and regional history.
Founded in 1923 within the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, the library occupies a 12th-century building formerly known as the Women's Mosque.
The collection includes 200 rare titles covering Islamic religion, Arabic literature, and regional newspapers from Palestine and other Arab countries.
Visitors can access the library from Saturday to Wednesday between 9 AM and 1 PM after completing security checks at the compound entrance.
The library maintains two sections: the main library west of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Al-Khutniyya Library to the south, specializing in jurisprudence manuscripts.
