Basilinopolis, Ancient city in Turkey
Basilinopolis was a town in ancient Bithynia, located in what is now Turkey.
The town dates back to at least the Roman period when it was known as Parium.
The name Basilinopolis was given in honor of Empress Aelia Basilissa during the Byzantine era.
Today, the site of Basilinopolis is not a major tourist destination and remains largely unexcavated.
Basilinopolis serves as a titular see of the Roman Catholic Church.
