Sinsing District

Sinsing District consists of 32 distinct villages spreading across an urban area situated 4 meters above sea level in central Kaohsiung.

The district evolved from Tāi-káng-po wilderness area into agricultural land during Japanese rule, where residents developed irrigation systems for rice and sugarcane cultivation.

Each of the 32 villages, including Haoran, Zhencheng, and Desheng, maintains its own community traditions through local markets and neighborhood gatherings.

The district office provides administrative services to approximately 49,478 residents and coordinates essential municipal functions across all constituent villages.

Liuhe Night Market, Hong Fa Temple, and the preserved Old Japanese Villa represent the main points of interest within the district boundaries.
