Susan B. Anthony Childhood House

The Susan B. Anthony Childhood House is a historic residence in Battenville situated along Route 29, displaying Federal and Greek Revival features over a stone foundation. The property encompasses the main structure, a carriage barn, and a retaining wall set across approximately one acre.

The house was built in 1832 by Daniel Anthony and served as Susan's home from her teenage years through her late teens. During this formative period, she experienced events that would shape her lifelong work for women's rights.
