Theatron is an entertainment venue in Chapinero with thirteen dance floors spread across seventeen buildings and a rooftop space. The complex features multiple bars, a restaurant in the Muro building, and areas for dancing or socializing, with capacity for around five thousand guests on any given night.
The complex began as Metro Riviera Theater in the 1960s and was later converted into an adult cinema. Following a period as a church, it reopened as Theatron in 2002.
The venue hosts performances by international DJs, Latin musicians, and regular drag shows that draw visitors from many different communities. These shows celebrate a mix of music styles and performance traditions that reflect the city's diverse audience.
The venue spans multiple buildings, so it helps to take time exploring the different areas at your own pace. Wearing comfortable shoes is recommended, and the complex tends to be busiest during the late-night hours.
Each of the thirteen dance floors features different music genres, from electronic beats to Latin rhythms. This layout allows guests to experience multiple completely different musical environments all in a single night.
