Rixos Premium Alamein, five-star hotel in El Alamein, Egypt
Rixos Premium Alamein is a large resort hotel facing the Mediterranean coast of Egypt. The main white building stretches parallel to the beach, with rooms and balconies oriented toward the sea. Its grounds include several pools, paved walkways, and a private stretch of sand with rows of sunbeds.
The hotel was built as part of the modern development of El Alamein, a town long associated with the battles of the Second World War. Construction responded to a push to turn this stretch of the north coast into an upscale leisure destination alongside new residential projects.
Guests tend to fill the pool terraces in the morning and move toward the beach after the midday heat fades. In the evening, families gather on the lawns and around the main terrace where staff serve coffee and mint tea in small glasses.
The resort is arranged along the shoreline, so most facilities are within a short walk of the rooms. The open-air corridors and pool areas can feel very hot in summer, making a hat and water useful when moving between the beach and the main building.
On clear days, the view from the upper floors shows how close the desert comes to the sea, with pale dunes meeting the dark blue water almost without transition. Some guests are surprised to find that the beachfront changes noticeably from season to season, with wider sand in winter and a narrower strip in summer.
