Evrona nature reserve

The Evrona Nature Reserve is a large desert area covering 40 square kilometers with acacia woodlands, herds of deer, and salt pools scattered across flat terrain. The landscape displays typical features of the southern Arava region with its dry environment and distinct vegetation zones.

Archaeological remains scattered throughout the area reveal that people have lived in this desert region for thousands of years, adapting to its harsh conditions. These findings show how communities developed ways to survive in one of the most demanding environments.
