Mount Zaru

Mount Zaru is a peak in Hayakawa with an elevation of 2,629 meters (8,625 feet) in central Honshu. Several established hiking routes cross through changing vegetation zones, moving from forested areas at lower elevations to more open terrain near the summit.

The mountain gained recognition as part of the 200 Famous Japanese Mountains through centuries of climbing history and local mountaineering traditions. This classification reflects its longstanding importance as a destination for hikers in the region.
