Ponte tibetano Cesana Claviere, Suspension footbridge in Cesana Torinese, Italy
The Cesana Claviere Tibetan Bridge is a long pedestrian suspension structure spanning the San Gervasio Gorge. It is made of wooden planks and ropes suspended high above the rocky terrain.
The structure was completed in 2023, linking the municipalities of Cesana Torinese and Claviere since then. Its design draws from traditional suspension bridge principles while meeting modern safety requirements.
The bridge connects two Alpine communities and serves as a place where visitors experience the mountain landscape together and test their courage. For many, crossing it becomes a personal adventure that brings people together.
You can enter the bridge if you are at least 1.20 meters tall and at least 6 years old. It is open daily in July and August, and on weekends during June and September.
The bridge features approximately 1350 individual wooden planks, each secured with ropes, making each step a tangible experience. This large number of crosspieces means you feel and hear the structure respond with every movement.
