The Yangcheonhyanggyo complex includes seven traditional wooden buildings and a main gate, with Daeseongjeon Hall serving as the central shrine.
Founded in 1411 during King Taejeong's reign, this provincial school educated the yangban class children in Confucian principles throughout the Joseon Dynasty.
The site maintains regular Bongshim ceremonies twice monthly and hosts Seokjeon Daeje rituals featuring traditional Korean music, dance, and sacrificial offerings.
Modern visitors can participate in educational programs focusing on Chinese characters, calligraphy instruction, and traditional Korean culinary practices.
This location stands as the sole remaining hyanggyo among hundreds of similar institutions that operated across Seoul during historical periods.
