Çal Cave

Çal Cave is a natural cave formation in Düzköy featuring multiple passages that stretch for about two kilometers underground. The passages contain flowing streams, underground lakes, and mineral deposits along the walls.

The cave formed through erosion processes in the limestone landscape of the Taurus Mountains over millions of years. These geological forces created the various chambers and water passages visible today.

The cave stands as a research site for geological studies, contributing to scientific understanding of underground formations in the Turkish territory.

Wooden walkways guide visitors safely through lit passages, making much of the system accessible. Good grip on your shoes matters since the floor in some areas is wet and slippery.

About 200 meters from the entrance, the cave splits into two branches, with one leading to an underground lake and waterfall. This branching structure makes each route through the cave a different exploration.
