The Ordway Center features a 1,910-seat Music Theater and a 1,100-seat Concert Hall within its 160,000-square-foot facility on Washington Street.
Sally Ordway Irvine and her family donated $15 million in 1980 to establish this $46 million performing arts center, which opened in 1985.
The center hosts the Minnesota Opera, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, and Schubert Club, presenting 500 performances annually for 400,000 visitors.
The venue offers multiple parking options in nearby ramps and streets, with convenient access to Washington Street in downtown Saint Paul.
The building incorporates Honduran mahogany woodwork, handcrafted chandeliers from West Virginia, and custom bricks from New Hampshire in Flemish bond pattern.
