Stotesbury Club House

The Stotesbury Club House is a former equestrian center in Wyndmoor featuring a one-and-a-half-story L-shaped frame building with a gable roof and shingled dormer window. A raised stone patio at the rear provides additional outdoor space adjacent to the structure.

Edward T. Stotesbury built this equestrian center between 1904 and 1908, and it remained under his ownership until 1924. The change in ownership marked a turning point in the property's history.

The building displays Arts and Crafts design elements with three Doric columns supporting an open porch at the main entrance. This style reflected the craftsmanship values that were popular in the early 1900s.

The property is located in a rural area of Montgomery County and can be explored on foot to view the architectural details. The exterior and patio are visible from a nearby public road, making it easy to get a full view of the building.

The building was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, honoring its architectural significance in the region. This recognition helps preserve the early 20th century heritage of the property for future generations.
